English Daisy Planting Instructions

    • 1). Designate a space in your garden where you will plant English daisies in the spring after the last frost. Choose a spot that is situated in either full sun or partial shade, as these are the conditions in which English daisies thrive.

    • 2). Obtain English daisy plants in 4-inch to 1-gallon-sized containers. Assemble as many plants as you desire to fill the designated area in your garden.

    • 3). Select English daisy plants that display new growth in the form of budding leaves and flowers, which are signs of health. Avoid plants that are discolored, wilted or dry.

    • 4). Dig a hole for each English daisy plant using a shovel in the designated area of your garden. Make sure the holes you dig are about the same depth as the original containers in which the English daisies came.

    • 5). Position the holes so there will be between 4 to 6 inches of space between each English daisy plant.

    • 6). Add fertilizer to each planting hole if you desire. Follow the fertilizer manufacturer's instructions with regard to amount and method of application.

    • 7). Remove the English daisy plants from their containers. Lightly loosen their soil and roots. Position them in the holes.

    • 8). Fill in the holes with any displaced dirt.

    • 9). Add about 3 inches of compost around each plant to keep away weeds and add nutrients.

    • 10

Water each English daisy plant until the soil is thoroughly moistened.
