"The Nightmare Before Christmas" Pumpkin Carving Ideas

    Jack

    • There are a wide variety of templates available for Jack Skellington pumpkins. You can choose among carving Jack's face, making the pumpkin his head, or you can carve his body as well, creating a scene on the pumpkin. Among the faces available are a happy version of Jack's face, a sinister version of Jack's face, and one called "Pumpkin King" which shows Jack with pointed teeth. Scene templates include one with Jack's hand raised threateningly and a portrait of Jack from the chest up, showing off the pointed collar of his jacket.

    Ooogie Boogie

    • There are also a variety of templates available for creating carvings of the villain of "The Nightmare Before Christmas," Oogie Boogie. One is a carving of Ooogie Boogie's face with his mouth wide open as though he is laughing. Another is a carving of his head as well, only this time he is smiling with his mouth set in a jagged, sinister shape. A third features Oogie Boogie's face with his mouth open and set with a jagged edge, as featured in the film.

    Other Characters

    • Stencils are available for other popular characters from the film as well. Templates are available for Sally -- Jack's love interest in the film -- and you can choose a close-up of Sally's face or one in which her hair is blowing in the wind. A template for Jack's companion, Zero, can be downloaded, showing the ghostly dog floating on the pumpkin. Finally, templates for Lock, Stock and Barrel, the mischievous trick-or-treaters are available, featuring the three of them in a scene, goofing around.

    Jack and Sally Scene

    • Another example of available templates for "The Nightmare Before Christmas" pumpkins is one featuring a scene with Jack and Sally. This template depicts a particular scene in the film in which Jack and Sally sing a romantic duet while standing on a hill top that curls into a swirl underneath them. Above the pair are their names, "Jack & Sally," and an optional date is carved below the hill they are standing on.
