How to Sync Your iPad to Your iPod

    • 1). Double-click the "iTunes" icon on your desktop to open the program.

    • 2). Use the USB connector cable to plug the iOS device into your computer. It doesn't matter which device you sync first. It can be your iPad or iPod.

    • 3). Go to the "Devices" panel on the left column in iTunes and click the label for your iPad or iPod.

    • 4). Go to each tab on the right pane and select which items you want to sync. For example, if you want to sync your applications, click the "Apps" tab and check the box for "Sync Apps." Do this for each kind of multimedia content you want on the device.

    • 5). Click the "Apply" button if you made changes to the settings. Otherwise, click the "Sync" button. The sync process should begin immediately and iTunes will display a notification message at the top when it is complete.

    • 6). Disconnect the device from the computer. Connect the second device via the USB cable. Repeat the same steps you did with the first device. Once finished, both your iPad and iPod will have the same multimedia content synced to them.
