- 1). Power on your desktop computer.
- 2). Power on your iPhone.
- 3). Connect your iPhone to your personal computer using your iPhone USB cable.
- 4). Open the Apple iTunes software on your personal computer. Once iTunes is open, the iTunes activation process will begin.
- 5). Enter "999-999-999" when prompted for your social security number. By entering all 9s as your social security number, the system will automatically deny your credit and will present you with other options, including the prepaid solution.
- 6). Click on "Choose prepaid plan" when presented with all of your alternate solutions. Choosing this option will allow you to automatically pay in advance each month for the prepaid service using a credit or debit card.
- 7). Click on a column to select a monthly plan that suits your needs and budget.
- 8). Click on the "Done" button to complete your activation.
