Medical Costs Increasing at 8% Per Year - Reduce Medicare Costs by That Much to Just to Keep Up

It is interesting that the U.
S.
Congress and the Obama Administration are now talking about the potential of reducing Medicare costs, raising the age for the Social Security entitlement, and cutting the military.
Obviously those are all huge expenses, and they must be addressed.
We all realize that government's number one job is to protect the American people, so whereas we could give the US military a nice haircut, we don't dare cut too much.
That leaves Social Security and Medicare.
Other nations in Europe have determined that due to their aging population there are not enough people paying in, and they have no choice but to raise the age of their Social Security and pension payouts.
Okay so let's talk about medical costs and Medicare.
Do you realize that since ObamaCare was introduced that health care costs have increased by 8% per year.
Since it has been two years since ObamaCare was introduced the costs have increased 16%.
Therefore the government's payouts just to stay equal must be reduced by 16%, but we had a problem before ObamaCare, and we need to reduce Medicare by 40%.
So how are we going to go about that? If we were 40% over budget, and we've increased by another 16%, then we are talking about a 56% cut in Medicare.
If we make those kinds of cuts, it will crush the medical industrial complex, and enrage citizens.
Still, we have no choice, at minimum we have to cut out the 16%, but we still haven't solved the problem that ObamaCare was supposed to solve.
Should we just delete ObamaCare completely? Well of course we should, but the Democrats won't allow that to happen, and the Supreme Court is pretty wishy-washy, it's almost as if they are holding the court of public opinion, prior to hearing cases, and very careful which cases they hear to avoid the reality.
It's unfortunate that no one will step up to the plate, that the Supreme Court is avoiding their duties, that the Obama Administration will not go back on that serious mistake, and the members of Congress are too afraid to touch it with a 10-foot pole.
We aren't going to get out of debt, or reduce deficit spending, until we address these issues.
The reality is we haven't yet, and the problem is getting worse every single day, and we can add another 8% increase in medical costs for 2011 which is now already half over.
Now the Congress and the Obama Administration are talking about reducing government expenditures by 2016.
No, they need to reduce government expenditures and live within their means today, actually yesterday, actually two administrations ago.
No matter what anyone says, the political rhetoric is at an all-time high, and they just keep kicking the can down the road, even claiming that they are trying to prevent doing that.
Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it, because something drastic needs to be done, and nothing is.
