- 1). Register with the Hawaii Department of Taxation to file your tax return electronically (see Resources). Enter your personal information, filing information and create a user name and password. Submit your registration and log in.
- 2). Click on the link marked "E-File Information". Choose which tax form you would like to electronically file and which online tax provider you wish to use to electronically file your tax return. Click on the link to its Web site and begin filling out your income tax form.
- 3). Follow the prompts and instructions provided to you by your online tax provider for filling out your tax form. Enter all required information and any additional information you may have. Required information includes your personal information, such as name, address and social security number as well as income and deduction information.
- 4). Review the information you provided and submit your tax return to the Hawaii Department of Taxation electronically.
