Backyard Fire Pit - A Must-Have!

A backyard fire pit is a must have for those of us who like to barbeque and enjoy a grill and a couple of beers.
It is also a great selling point for a home provided it has been built correctly and fits in with the surroundings.
Building a backyard fire pit isn't difficult if you have some plans and a little DIY knowledge but you may prefer to get someone in to do it for you.
Personally I would go with buying a ready made version.
If you don't use it you can put it away or give it to someone else.
If, as most people find, you fall in love with eating outdoors then you can always install your own in the garden at a later date.
At least this way you won't be left with an unsightly hole in the ground.
For less than $100 you could go out and buy one today and be enjoying a nice grill this evening.
What more could you ask for? The beauty of a fire pit is that you get complete freedom as to how you cook your food.
Some people love the special taste you get when you use wood in a fire, others prefer charcoal.
You may actually want to use gas.
The choice is yours.
You can also choose what style of cooking you want to do.
Some people are happy with a simple flat grill while others want the opportunity to use a rotisserie system as they believe the meat will be more succulent as it retains more of its juices.
Depending on the size of your backyard, you could have both.
Why would you use a backyard fire pit instead of a normal camp fire? They are safer and easier to control.
Fire, while romantic and great for socializing, is lethal so never forget the safety aspect especially when you have children or live in a fairly built up area.
