- 1). Grasp the cooled electric burner on the outer edge or coil. Lift straight up to move the burner up and away from the stove.

Dampen a sponge with plain water, then add two or three drops of mild dish detergent to the sponge. Scrub the electric burners with the soapy sponge to remove surface stains and grease. - 3). Combine equal parts baking soda and water in a bowl. Mix the two ingredients to form a thin paste. Dip an old toothbrush into the baking soda paste and scrub the paste into any stubborn stains on your electric burners.
- 4). Allow the baking soda paste to sit on stained areas on your electric burners for 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the severity of the stain.
- 5). Scrub the baking soda into the stains on your electric burners using the rinsed and dampened toothbrush. Rinse the burners by wiping them with a damp sponge. Make sure to remove all of the baking soda paste from the electric burners.
- 6). Dry the burners with a towel, then allow them to finish air drying before putting them back into place on the stove top.
