- 1). Sweep the untreated limestone with a broom to gather dust and grime from the surface. Remove as much loose grit as possible.
- 2). Pour a few drops of liquid dish soap into a cleaning bucket. Fill the cleaning bucket with 1 gallon of warm water.
- 3). Fill another ordinary cleaning bucket with plain warm water.
- 4). Immerse a microfiber mop in the soapy water. Mop a 3-by-3-foot section of limestone with the soapy water, removing all grit and grime from the area.
- 5). Rinse the mop thoroughly in plain water. Mop the clean 3-by-3-foot portion of limestone with the water to rinse away the soapy residue.
- 6). Mop the remaining dirty 3-by-3-foot sections of untreated limestone with the soapy water until the entire limestone surface is spotless. Rinse each section thoroughly with fresh water after mopping. Replace the rinse water regularly.
- 7). Let the clean limestone surface air-dry completely.
