When many people think of children, they think of Disney, as the company is one of the top entertainers of children in the world. If your friend or family member is expecting a baby, an ideal way to celebrate the occasion is with a surprise Disney-themed baby shower. With decades of Disney memorabilia available as inspiration, you're sure to find a theme that fits the mom-to-be. - If your friend knows she is having a girl, consider a Disney Princess theme. You can either choose from one of the Disney Princesses---Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Ariel, Mulan and others---or you can use them all. Decorate in the theme of the princess or princesses in question. Disney sells many decorations for children's birthday parties that would also be usable for a baby shower. Have guests purchase products specifically related to this theme to give to the expecting mother.
- Toys are a big part of a child's life, and so a "Toy Story" theme might be appropriate for a baby shower. If your friend is having a boy, decorate with characters like Woody and Buzz. As with the Princess theme, you can find most of your decorations by looking at the children's birthday party section in your local drug or toy store. Purchase some "Toy Story" toys suitable for infants, and have the guests bring toys for the new baby to play with as he grows.
- No matter what gender the mom-to-be is expecting, this theme fits. Pooh and his friends can fit in with any color scheme you plan on decorating with, and there are a variety of different Pooh toys and decorations you can use for the party. The two main options are Disney Pooh and Classic Pooh, both of which have a plethora of different products for babies. Let the guests know that it is a Winnie-the-Pooh theme, and have them bring blankets, diapers, stuffed toys, play-pens and more featuring characters from the Hundred Acre Wood.
