Alessi Coffee Maker

The iconic Alessi brand is world-renowned for its grounds breaking stylish series of tea kettles, designed to bring perfect functionality with gorgeous minimalist design to your kitchen. And the Alessi coffee maker is no less of a treat.
In fact there is a huge variety of models of Alessi coffee makers, which all vary in style and a little in quality. Btu all have the distinctive Alessi style that graces the kitchens of thousands world-wide.
The Michael Graves model of kettle in the 80's is what made Alessi's name in the kettle and coffee maker world. The inspired decision to bring the design skills of one of the world's greatest architects and designers to the kitchen of the everyday man, brought Alessi international fame. The first kettle was a perfect pyramid from the side, rising to an almost pointy tip with the lid. Framed by a perfectly circular handle that frames the kettle like the sun rising above the real Giza pyramid in the morning.
The base was and is circular, and the shape, while perfectly minimalist and a pleasure to view, is also perfectly designed for heating water incredibly efficiently. A combination of aesthetic beauty and efficient functionality.
The range of kettles that has followed are different but all keep a very similar feel of design, with stainless steel surfaces polished so finely you can see your face in them as you pour.
This style has been brought to the Alessi coffee maker as well. Every coffee maker in the range of models shares a conical rising shape and a polished stainless steel look. Most importantly, they all make great coffee. The Alessi 9090 6cup espresso maker is a perfect example and one of the best, if a super dose of espresso coffee inthe morning is your thing.
The base is circular with, a magnetic stainless steel layer leading up to a thinner cone, and then another one. This wide base tapering to narrower top is a particularly Alessi natured design. The handle is a smooth brown arc leading from bottom to top, with an easy catch to flip the lid open to pour the coffee.
The Neapolitan coffee maker is another beautiful model, much larger in size. With a walnut handle which keeps cool as your coffee prepares. The mirror-polished exterior gives a shine that draws your eye to it in the kitchen, and like every Alessi model it goes perfectly with any cutlery or cups you have in the kitchen.
The Alessi museum in Italy shows the produce of these Alessi creations that were the result of over 200 prototypes in design and functionality. In the determined search to try and recreate the style of kettle that had existed in Italy before the 1950's, but then died out.
If you want to buy an Alessi coffee maker it's a good idea to start browsing online at large retailers like eBay and Amazon. As the king of coffee makers, they are clearly rather more expensive than your average brands, so if you shop around you might be able to save a good bit of money on your purchase.
