I am a KOA Value Rewards Member, and I was there in May 2009.

Describe your camping trip:

Tonight my husband and I called this KOA and spoke with Carol on the phone who was very kind. I told her we wanted to come look at the campground. I have accepted a teaching position nearby, and planned to put our travel trailer there until securing a permanent place. First, I was admonished gruffly and shamefully by Shawn Miller, manager/part owner, for not stopping at the office before driving through the campground.

I apologized and he continued to behave in an inhospitable and rude way. I again apologized. Neither he nor his employee, both in yellow shirts, made any gestures to us at all as we were driving through. Secondly, when asked what length and year our camper is, we were told it was unacceptable because it is more than 10 years old. We have never been treated so disrespectfully in any KOA Campground previously. We will not be renewing our membership, and I will be sure to relate our experience to our friends who camp.
