The Toyota Rav4 was originally based on Toyota Corolla model and was fused to become a vehicle with a van's feature. The Rav4 can be a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. It essentially became a good answer for drivers who wanted the benefits of an SUV such as a cargo room, higher visibility and option for a four-wheel drive with the maneuverability and fuel efficiency of a car.
The Toyota Rav4 also has an electric version powered by NiMH batteries. This car model was manufactured to address the carbon emissions that conventional cars produce. Unfortunately, the sale only went for about seven months back 2002 and only handful of Californian buyers were able to sustain it.
The Toyota rav4 is a welcome addition to the wide range crossover SUVs that the car brand offers. This type of SUV has also become popular after its co-model, Toyota Highlander debuted in 2001. Rav4 has even become larger with new exterior and upgraded safety features.
Aside from the basic safety features that former crossover SUVs have, rav4 also has Vehicle Stability control (VSC) that monitors wheels level of slippage during cornering. This also helps drivers with wheel brakes in order to gain auto stability.
Additional Safety Features
The crossover used Toyota rav4 also has a standard tire pressure monitor to reminder drivers that the auto's tires are losing pressure. This is especially useful for driver in order to give them an idea of their car's condition. Tires in good condition are indicative that it is able to have proper road interaction and prevent skids from happening.
Mileage
Mileage for used Toyota rav4 is also impressive. The 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine for a manual transmission can go for about 22 in cities and 30 in highways. This figure is acceptable enough, considering that drivers can drive the auto in the 20s scale without using much gasoline. Automatic transmission for Rav4 is also acceptable since their mileage for 24 for cities and 29 in highway.
Changing Design
The automobile went for a revolutionary design change in 2006 along with better engine features. It still has a 2.4 four-cylinder engine but now produces a 166 hp instead of the 161 hp. Exclusive in North America, there are now RAv4s that have 3.5 V6 engine that boost about 262 hp and still retain its SUV capacity. Car dealerships for used Toyota Ottawa residents prefer can now buy or lease Rav4s with preferred models for both manual and automatic transmissions.
