- 1). Choose a body-building shampoo and conditioner. Remember to use a light conditioner, though - heavy conditioners can make hair go flat.
- 2). Look for the following in the ingredients: proteins (keratin and collagen), silicone polymers or polymeric quaternium compounds. These compounds stick to the hair shaft and make your hair appear thicker.

Purchase a styling product such as mousse, gel or hairspray. - 4
Put a small amount of the product in your hands and rub them together. - 5
Run your fingers through your hair and rub the product into your roots. - 6
Lift and "scrunch" your hair (that is, squeeze it in the palms of your hands from the ends of the hair to the roots). - 7
Let your hair air-dry, or blow-dry it using a dryer with a diffuser attachment. Also, try blowing it dry with your head upside down.
