- 1). Purchase a fish finder lock set for your make and model. Be sure you have the correct knob size for your make and model. Tip: use a fit chart found at marine supply stores.
- 2). Remove the existing knobs on the fish finder. Most come out simply by twisting them counterclockwise until the screws leave the threads on the display unit. Insert the knob locks into the fish finder screw holes on the bracket. Turn them clockwise until the knobs are secure against the bracket and the fish finder is locked into position.
- 3). Turn the lock knobs clockwise until the lock hole aligns with the knob's lock barrel.
- 4). Insert the lock keys and turn clockwise to lock the fish finder to the bracket. Take the key out and place in a secure location.
