The Oregon coast is a very cool place to see. We took our family there to a place called Depoe Bay. We stayed in a Worldmark Wyndam resort. We were in a two bedroom suite which included three baths and a kitchen. The facilities included game rooms work out centers and three swimming pools one of which was indoor/outdoor. Our three children loved this mini vacation (three days). The ocean view was breathtaking and only thirty feet from our Oceanside suite.

The surf was very high with waves estimated to be around fifteen feet tall coming in. The resort sits on a cliff base of lava around 50 feet high. We enjoyed swimming and the hot tubs with the children. We went to Gleneden and Fogarty Creek beaches for some fun play in the sand, catching rays and wave running.

Being by the sea is so refreshing. You can just feel the sea level air in your lungs as you walk and run. The sea level air is the best air you can take in as the oxygen levels are higher. The sound of the waves can be either soothing or cause anxiety. It depends on how big and strong the surf is, and each individual.

We drove up to Tillamook to tour the Tillamook Air Museum. We also stopped in to the Tillamook Cheese Factory for a self guided tour, some great cheese tasting and ice cream. Since we purchased the Worldmark package we have gone to some great places. We have planned some additional vacations to Palm Springs, and Hawaii.

The Oregon coast is very beautiful. We toured it back in 2007 starting from Seattle and traveling all the way down highway 101 along the Oregon coast into California to visit the Redwood forest. There are many sea side stops and great beaches like Canon Beach that we enjoyed. We made fun of the Sunami warning signs along the way. Whether you travel to the Oregon coast in summer or winter you will not be disappointed in what you see.
