- 1). Start iTunes by double-clicking its icon on your computer desktop. Wait for the program to load.
- 2). Plug your iPod's USB cord into the iPod. Plug the other end into a USB port on your computer. If iTunes is set up for it, your iPod may automatically begin syncing with iTunes. If not, proceed to Step 3.
- 3). Click "iPod" under the "Devices" tab on the left side of iTunes.
- 4). Click the "Music" tab, located at the top of the window.
- 5). Select "All Playlists" if you want all of your music to go to your iPod, or choose "Selected Playlists" if you would prefer to pick which songs transfer. If you choose "Selected Playlists," you'll need to click the boxes below in order to choose which playlists you want to download to your iPod.
- 6). Click "Apply" in the lower-right corner. The music will download from iTunes to your iPod.
