How to Find XML Encoding

    • 1). Right-click the XML file on your computer. Most XML files have the "XML" file extension for websites. Select "Open With" and select "Notepad." Click "Open" to view the file.

    • 2). Click the "Edit" menu item and then click "Find." Type "<?xml" into the text box and click "Find." This searches the file for the XML encoding "wrapper" where XML code is located.

    • 3). Click "Find Next" to find the next instance of XML. Continue to click the button until you find each instance of XML encoding in your file.
