If you are planning to go to China and see around in some of the local wholesaling markets, here are some advices for you.
1.
Make research and comparisons of the goods before you go If you plan to pick up some goods in low price and suppliers when you go to the wholesale markets, then I think you will be disappointed.
Many suppliers in the market will give you a high price.
So please contact some of the suppliers from some B2B website and ask them for pricing.
Then you may have some clues of the price.
2.
Ask some help and advices from your supplier You may ask your supplier to order the hotels for you.
They will know how to book some good hotels (like some 5 star hotels) with discount.
You can tell them where you are going and what your budget is, and ask them advices for transportation and restaurants.
3.
Find a interpreter If you are traveling alone and you do not require your supplier to accompany you, you had better find an interpreter unless you know some Mandarin.
4.
Schedule it in the right time As the Chinese has some national holidays on which many companies will stop working.
So you need to check with your suppliers or your friends to know whether there are some holidays when you are going.
Besides, there are some trading exhibitions in April and November.
It may be a good time for you to meet more suppliers if you do not mind the crowd, but you need to reserve your hotels much ahead.
