Countless people come to me saying they don't like the taste of their protein shake - and to be honest, I'm not surprised, because many of them don't taste too good! It is for this reason that many people give up on their goals to get ripped/lean - but they shouldn't...
because you can quite easily use the whey protein powder you have bought to create delicious tasting high-in-protein protein shakes at home by just adding a few other ingredients.
Here are just a few of my favourite home-made protein shake recipies: For any shakes that require fruit - you can buy frozen fruit from your local supermarket and save a lot of money! Pre-workout High-Carb Fruity Shake 5 frozen strawberries (whole) 1 frozen banana - chopped into pieces 1/2 a cup of low-fat natural yoghurt 1 cup (up to 100ml) of orange, apple or pineapple juice 2 generous scoops of your whey protein powder Simply blend the ingredients together until you have reached your desired consistency.
Add more yoghurt if you want it thinner, add more fruit if you want it thicker.
Peanut Butter and Chocolate Shake 2 generous scoops of chocolate whey protein powder 1 tablespoon of low-fat smooth peanut butter 14 oz.
of cold still water 5 ice cubes 2 tablespoons of fat-free whipping cream Simply blend the ingredients together until your reach your desired consistency.
You can add more peanut butter if you want added flavour - but I love the way it tastes when made using the exact recipe above! Banana Split Shake 1/2 frozen banana 2 tablespoons of fat-free whipping cream 2 scoops of whey protein powder (either chocolate or vanilla) 11 oz.
of cold still water 5 ice cubes Blend to your desired consistency.
Add more fruit for a stronger flavour.
So, there you have it, my favourite home-made protein shakes - perfect for you if you don't like the taste of the whey you've got now! Visit bestproteinshakes.
