- 1). Download and install the free video converter from the Freemake website (see Resources). Click the "Start" menu and "Freemake Video Converter" to start the program.
- 2). Click the "Video" button in the upper left corner of the window. Locate your MP4 video on your computer, and double click the file to add it to the video editor. Click the file you want to convert in the main selection window.
- 3). Click "To WMV" at the bottom of the screen. Click the "Preset" menu, and choose a video-quality option for your WMV, from "Mobile Quality" to "HD 1080p." Click "Convert."
- 1). Download and install the video-converting program from Koyote Soft (see Resources). Click "Start" and "Free Video Converter" to launch the program.
- 2). Click "Add Files." Find the MP4 video on your computer, and double click the file to load it in the program. Click "Output Format" tab at the bottom of the screen. Click "WMV."
- 3). Click the "Output Path" tab. Choose the folder where you want to save your WMV file, and click "OK." Click "Convert Video."
- 1). Download and install the Hamster Video Converter from Hamster Soft (see Resources). Click "Start" and "Hamster Soft" to run the program.
- 2). Click "Add or Drop Files," and double click your MP4 video to load it in the converter. Alternatively, drag and drop files under the "Add File" tab. Click the "Edit" tab and choose "WMV."
- 3). Scroll down in the "Edit" tab window. Choose a device for WMV playback if you plan to watch your video on one of the devices in the selection window. Hamster then configures the video resolution and codec compatibility for a specific device. Click "Convert."
