No matter how young or old the father is, he can wear a t-shirt. Look for t-shirts which say something about Dad's personality -- or ones which are far from it. He may get a kick out of a "Superman" t-shirt, for instance, if he is a confident man or even if he is the mild-mannered type. A "World's greatest dad" or "King of the castle" shirt may be more his style. There are countless prints to choose from, with funny slogans or logos, and finding one to suit him should not be too problematic. - There are countless options for printed aprons.Jupiterimages/Photos.com/Getty Images
Next time Dad mans the barbecue, he could do it in a printed apron. He will enjoy soliciting affection when he wears a "You may kiss the cook" apron. Other ideas include "The Grill Master" or "Licensed to Grill." Even if Dad only cooks inside the house, there are still numerous aprons to suit him. Try a "Mr. Mom" or a "Real Men Don't Use Recipes" for a lighthearted gift which should bring a few smiles. - He will enjoy making the headlines.Creatas Images/Creatas/Getty Images
Put Dad in the limelight with his very own front page. He will get a kick out of a custom-printed page from a novelty newspaper telling the world of his exploits. Maybe he is a brand-new father, just retired or just promoted, and a paper will commemorate it. For an extra-special touch, have the front page framed to be hung in an office, hallway or den. - Remind him that he will need to pay for college.Jupiterimages/Comstock/Getty Images
Being a father is an expensive business. With so many things to pay for, buy Dad a novelty money jar to save his pennies in. Novelty money jars are usually ceramic pots with either a cork or screw top. They display whichever "fund" is being saved for, printed on the front. New fathers may see the humor in a "College Fund," dreamers may enjoy "Vacation Money" and older dads will smile at a "Retirement" jar.
