Taylor Lautner Talks About His Favorite "Eclipse" Scene
June 2010 - At the June 12th LA press conference for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Taylor Lautner said his favorite scene in the film is one fans of the series are also looking forward to with great anticipation. "Probably the tent scene," replied Lautner when asked about his personal favorite. "The tent scene is just really good because it has that intensity, but it is also pretty humorous at the same time."
For those not in the know about all things Twilight, the tent scene finds Taylor Lautner as Jacob coming to Bella's (Kristen Stewart) rescue when she's freezing to death, much to the displeasure of Edward (Robert Pattinson).
It's one of the few scenes where Jacob and Edward talk somewhat civilly to each other, and Bella just sort of sleeps/dozes/kind of listens in.
Another scene Lautner was really looking forward to actually filming was one in which Edward asks Bella if Jacob can ever keep his shirt on. "I believe it actually was in the book. It definitely was in the script. When I read that for the first time, I couldn’t wait for Rob to deliver that," laughed Lautner. "It was funny. It was quite obvious. Even the position I’m in. I’m like leaning up against the car with my hands behind me - it looks like waiting and flexing for her to come up."
"Those are the awkward scenes. When everybody is fully clothed, it is raining, and I’m just waiting there posing for them."
