Sinusitis Remedies

More people suffer from sinusitis than you probably think, and it is one of the most common illnesses in many societies. As a last resort to cure sinusitis, many doctors advise a surgery, again a costly alternative which may have complications and side effects.

Sinusitis can be treated without using pills or surgery, if you know how to do it. Natural methods have brought about a revolution in sinusitis remedies. These methods are not only cheap but are also very effective. All that's required is patience and perseverance. Some easy and natural sinusitis remedies are:

1. Cool Air Misters: When sprayed in dry and cold areas of the house, air misters add moisture to the air, helping you breathe more comfortably.

2. Vapor Rubs: Medicated vapor rubs are easily available at most pharmacies. They give instant relief from nasal congestion when applied around the nose before going to bed at night.

3. Juices: Carrot juice has been found to be highly beneficial in curing sinus problems, its benefits even greater when mixed with spinach or cucumber juice.

4. Oils: Inhaling eucalyptus and pine oil drops in hot water has also been found to give relief from sinus infections.

5. Mangoes: Mangoes have vitamin A and help in the formation of epithelium; therefore, Sinus patients should consume mangoes liberally for great relief.

6. High Intake of Water: Consuming at least eight to ten glasses of water throughout the day, with more at night, can also keep sinus at bay.

7. Air Conditioner: People with sinus problems should try to stay in air-conditioned rooms as much as possible during summer to get relief from sinusitis.

While all these simple methods might be effective in the reduction or elimination of sinus problems, they won't cure sinusitis completely.
