A Baseball Lesson on How to STOP Striking Yourself Out

In my research where I look for baseball lesson resources I've come across many baseball websites that give some great information on baseball lessons and some that didn't.
In this article I'm going to go over a very important baseball lesson on "Knowing Your Strike Zone," because as you know, if you swing at pitches that are NOT strikes, you're going to be the one striking yourself out as opposed to the pitcher.
HUGE ISSUE that many baseball instructors don't cover! I am going to go over a baseball lesson on how to develop and know your strike zone so its second nature to you.
You DON'T want to be swinging at pitches that are NOT strikes.
So how do we condition our body and mind to recognize what's a strike and what's a ball? Very Simple, DON'T swing at BAD pitches during batting practice, despite your hitting coach or other players saying it's only batting practice just swing, because what you do in practice you will do in the game.
Let this be a baseball lesson to you.
If it's a ball out of the strike zone in batting practice DON'T SWING AT THE PITCH, ITS THAT'S SIMPLE.
Learn to have a great eye during batting practice and you will have a great eye during the game.
I heard a story and great baseball lesson once about the major leaguer Frank Thomas and how his high school baseball coach would make Frank run wind sprints if he swung at a bad pitch, and he said this was why he had such a great eye at home plate.
Frank hated the idea of having to run if he swung at a bad pitch so he made it his business to not swing at these bad pitches and only swing at strikes.
Not an easy thing to have such a great eye for a big guy like Frank Thomas that is 6 foot 5 and has a huge strike zone due to his size, but what he did in practice lead to what he did in the game.
This is a baseball lesson you want to remember.
The all-time great hitters will tell you getting a good pitch to hit, is the key to having success in hitting a baseball.
Let this be a baseball lesson that you not only read about, but you actually begin to implement during your batting practice each week and each day.
By only swinging at strikes during batting practice you will quickly notice that during your actual real baseball games you will be striking out a lot less.
Even better you'll be swinging at only pitches that are in the strike zone, so you'll dramatically increase the amount of hard line drives you will hit as opposed to completely missing the ball, foul tipping the ball, popping up or grounding out.
This baseball lesson can easily make the difference between your baseball coach sitting you on the bench vs.
being the MVP of your team.
