How to Make Funny Posters

    • 1). Brainstorm some ideas for the poster you want to make. Get out a sheet a paper and make a list of some funny ideas for your poster. Browse around online and see what is out there to get some ideas.

    • 2). To make your own poster, start by drawing out your poster ideas on a sheet of paper. Good posters have images that are dynamic and capture people's attention. Don't add text or color yet to the poster, you'll do that later. When you have finished with the pencil portion of your drawing, ink the entire picture. Let the ink dry and a erase all of the pencil. That way you will have clean lines to scan into the computer. This is the core image you will use to make your own poster.

    • 3). Scan the picture into your computer at at least 300dpi (dots per inch). Open the document with Photoshop. Duplicate the layer and set the top layer to "multiply." Once this is done you can color on the bottom layer without ruining the line work at the top. Add in your funny poster text and email the document to yourself or place it on a flash drive.

    • 4). Take the image down to FedEx/Kinko's or another print company that can produce large prints of the poster for you. Take the posters home and decide where best to set them up. Perhaps some can go around your office or you can sell the posters or give them away to friends as a gift.
