Memory Foam Mattresses - What is So Special About Them?

Memory foam mattresses have replaced conventional coir mattresses and have become the most popular bedding choice of this day and age.
Memory foam is a substance made out of the polymer polyurethane.
In order to raise the thickness of the foam and to add volume to its viscosity levels the polyurethane is mixed with some special chemicals.
These mattresses can be divided into two categories based on the concentration of the memory foam in the bedding.
In the mattresses where the deposit of memory foam is higher it is known as a high density foam mattress and when it is less it is known as low density foam mattress.
The benefit of high density memory foam mattresses is that they are sensitive to the heat emanating from the body so after you have been laying on them for a couple of moments the mattresses mould themselves according to the warmth of your body.
In case of the low density memory foam, the mattress responds to the pressure from the body and adapts its form to fit the shape of the person's body.
Memory mattresses differ from the standard ones because they are generally heavier and built to be denser than the latter.
The compact structure of these mattresses make them much firmer than the standard mattresses while also adding to the bulk.
The basic advantage of these mattresses is that they offer a middle ground for those who are not satisfied with firm mattresses because they are not very comfortable and don't like the soft ones either because they do not provide enough support to the body.
These mattresses have become phenomenally popular because they provide a superlative degree of comfort that is not seen in any other type of mattress.
The mattress boasts of the unique ability of being able to mould itself according to the contours of the body of the person laying on it and hence it takes on the exact shape as per one's individual needs.
Since the mattresses are visco-elastic in nature they are extremely flexible and allow for a great degree of movement without being uncomfortable or hard on the body.
As a result, even the most restless of sleepers who toss and turn through the night otherwise are able to enjoy an uninterrupted sleep.
