Go Beyond Cranberry Sauce With This Cranberry Jam

Want to know a secret? This cranberry jam is really just a thicker version of classic cranberry sauce. I like it as a spread for sandwiches or wraps (it doesn't make the bread soggy on contact like cranberry sauce does), or slather it on buttered toast for a bright, seasonal taste on cold and gray late fall and winter mornings. It works nicely on the holiday table, too.

I tend to make this jam in small batches, but it easily doubles or triples if you want to serve it to larger groups—or have a lot of sandwiches to make!
