The World flies by.
We take in a deep breathe and we sigh.
Cause we can't seem to find, anything to hold to so we die.
And the one thing that we fear, is what we have come to hold so dear.
But you will soon see that this is not free.
you'll have to give up what you hold.
But that's what comes, with the cost of love.
So you think that you have found out love? So you put on your velvet glove.
Then you hold it in your hand, and causes you to stand.
But if you need to hold it with a glove, then this is NOT love.
Afraid that if it touches your bare skin, it will take what you have left within.
And the one thing that you fear, is what you have come to hold so dear.
but you will soon see that this is not free.
you'll have to give up what you hold.
but that how it goes, with the cost of love.
(Extra Verse) I am glad, to have washed upon your shores.
and if you let me stay, then i will come and lay, what i have left within, this skin i will gladly give.
So that you may live.
ANd the one thing that I fear is what I have come to hold so dear, but you will soon see that this is NOT me.
Cause I will give up what i hold, cause that what comes..
..
...
with the cost of love.
(all the things that we think we know, but we will never truly know, how it comes, how it goes how it ebbs, how it flows.
the cost of love) I wrote this song watching a special on the discovery channel about love and relationships and came up with the idea for this song.
