- 1). Remove the Phillips screws holding the power cord cover in place and remove the cover. The cover will be located near the bottom of the dryer's rear panel.
- 2). Remove the green screw holding the grounding strap in place. If you are using a four-wire connection, disconnect the grounding strap and set the green screw aside for use later. Do this only if you are using a four-wire connection. If you are using a three-wire connection, leave the grounding strap and green screw in place.
- 3). Slide the strain relief bracket into its slot at the end of the power cord terminal on the dryer. Slide the end of the power cord through the strain relief bracket.
- 4). Connect the white neutral wire on the power cord to middle port on the terminal block and screw it into place. Connect the two hot wires on the sides of the white wire to the outside ports on the terminal block and screw them into place. For a four-wire connection, connect the green grounding wire to the grounding hole just above the strain relief bracket and screw it into place using the previously removed green screw.
- 5). Replace the power cord cover and plug your dryer into the electrical outlet.
