- Start with the shell, a simple swirl line. Draw a line along the bottom to box off the shell. A collapsed circle, like a large bean, will make the head. Add antennae to the top of the head and cute facial features. For the snail body, bring the pencil down from the head and draw a wavy line along the bottom toward the tail, swooping up with the pencil and coming back to the bottom edge of the shell.
- Start with a full circle or a half circle, depending on whether you want to draw the turtle from the side or the top. The head and flippers are half an oblong oval. Make sure to draw the head larger than the flippers. The shell's scutes are rounded squares. Shade in scales for more detail if desired.
- For the head, draw a sideways oval. The body is an upright larger oval. Make the front legs by drawing two long rectangles that end in a circle. The tail is made by drawing two long squiggly lines that connect in a half circle at the top. Triangles make the ears and nose. Add oval eyes. Add the mouth and whiskers to complete the face.
- Start with a pear shape. Draw two long ovals for the ears, and smaller, narrower ovals for the inside of the ears. Circles make the eyes and nose. Make a tail with squiggly, circular lines, then add the front paws by drawing small circles on each side of the upper part of the body. Two half ovals can make the feet on the bottom part of the pear shape. Add whiskers and mouth.
