One Weird Tip: The Elements of Hype

If you're an internet marketer then you've probably seen the phrase "One Weird Tip" repeated by other online marketers.
Whether it's weight loss or World of Warcraft, people really seem to go for phrases such as this one when they are looking for secret solutions and interesting products.
This title is all about hype and hype is definitely something you want to bring to your blog posts, products and services.
The Elements of Hype Limited, Unquantified Time The goal with this element is to make 'em sweat.
Let them know that their time is limited to make a purchase but don't let them know how much.
Limited Quantity Only allow a certain number of purchases to be made, or create a product that has a set capacity of users.
Some marketers outright lie and say that there are only X number of seats left or whatever.
With online products there sometimes is no limit, but if you have the capability of having one then do so and you'll increase the value of the product instantly as well as the hype.
Easy to Implement Your product, solution or system should be super easy to use and implement and you should advertise it as such.
Look at the "One Weird Tip" phrase.
Doesn't that sound like the tip is going to be very unusual but also very easy to put to use? That's what you want to tell your audience; that your information is both rare and easily implemented.
Overwhelming Value As you create all this hype for your product your readers will then want to know what kind of features you are giving them besides the initial sale.
Are you including community forums, videos, walkthroughs, voice overs, other products for free, etc.
? You should be as that's all part of giving overwhelming value.
Exceptional Pricing If you've created the hype, and especially added additional benefits to purchasing through overwhelming value, then all you need is a well aimed price point and no one will be able to resist your hyped up product.
Here's my "One Weird Tip" for pricing: use a seven.
Seven is rounded down by most buyers to mean a five, so 17 becomes 15 and 27 becomes 25 in their minds.
Use a seven.
Perhaps you are worried about selling online, or believe that you have nothing to sell? Maybe you think that hype can only be lies? What if you create products that have hype naturally built into them?
