- 1). Measure and cut a circle out of the plywood board that is 4 feet in diameter with a jigsaw.
- 2). Locate the center of the circle. Drill a hole large enough to accommodate the bolt in the center of the board. Drill a second hole of the same diameter as the vacuum cleaner hose approximately 8 inches to 10 inches from the center hole.
- 3). Position the tarp on a flat surface. Lay out the tarp and place the board on the tarp. Cut around the board while leaving approximately 5 inches of tarp for overlap.
- 4). Overlap the tarp over the underside of the board. Secure the tarp with duct tape. Ensure that there is no place for air to escape once the tarp is secured to the board.
- 5). Cover the outside edge of the board with a layer of duct tape.
- 6). Create a 1/2-inch hole in the center of the board through the tarp to allow the bolt to come through.
- 7). Make a hole in the center of the coffee can lid with a box cutter. Slide the bolt through the hole in the coffee can lid and insert the bolt through the hole in the tarp and in the plywood board. Secure the bolt with a nut.
- 8). Create six 2-inch holes in the tarp around the coffee can lid. Cut the holes approximately 2 inches away from the coffee can lid and space the holes equally. The 2-inch holes will form a circle around the coffee can lid.
- 9). Move the board and turn it over so the tarp is facing downward. Slide the vacuum cleaner hose into the hole created earlier for the hose. Secure the hose to the board with duct tape. Turn on the leaf blower to allow your hoverboard to lift up.
