- 1). Form the side walls of the bridge by laying Popsicle stick ends on top of another and using a hot glue gun to hold them in place to form a straight line. You will need to make a total of four separate connecting sticks that are equal in length. Alternate the placement of the stick ends. If the last stick end was put on top of the other, the next stick end should go on the bottom.
- 2). Lay the four lengths of sticks horizontally on a flat surface, one below the other and spaced 4 inches apart. The first two sticks will be used to create one wall and the other two for the other wall.
- 3). Place Popsicle sticks vertically on each pair of horizontal connected Popsicle sticks and space them 4 inches apart. Secure the new sticks in place using a hot glue gun. You now have the two side walls of the bridge.
- 4). Put the walls of the bridge up to standing position, spaced 4 inches apart side by side and use books or ask someone to help you keep them standing upright.
- 5). Create the floor of the bridge by laying new Popsicle sticks across the wall's base Popsicle sticks, placing one on each side of every vertical Popsicle stick. Use a hot glue gun to hold the new sticks in place.
- 6). Form the top of the bridge by laying Popsicles sticks across the top of the walls in the same position as the floor Popsicle sticks and the bridge is complete. To run toy cars through the bridge, insert a piece of cardboard cut to size to lie on the floor of the bridge.
