Hairstyles for Clubs

    • Use Velcro rollers for soft, loose curls.Rollers image by bnstrong from Fotolia.com

Getting ready for a night out means getting your hair just right so you look the part. Using a few tools such as a curling iron, hair serum for extra shine and hairspray for hold will make your hairstyle ready for a night on the town. Don't think that a hairstyle for clubbing means a complicated style that takes tons of time and tools. With a few tools and products and amplified versions of hairstyles you're accustomed to, you'll be ready to dance the night away with a stellar hairstyle.

    Long, Loose Curls

    • Wear your hair in long, loose curls to the club for a sassy look that has movement as you dance. Start with damp hair and blow dry until your hair is almost dry. Use a fine-tooth comb to section off hair into 3- to 4-inch sections. Brush through each section to smooth and then wrap each section of hair around a large Velcro roller. The roller should be self-adhesive and stay at the root once rolled, but if you feel it is loose, place a bobby pin to hold the hair in place.

Once your entire head is in rollers, blast your hair with the blow dryer on the lowest setting. Keep the blow dryer moving throughout the hair for 5 to 7 minutes or until hair is dry. Once hair is dry, use the cool setting on your blow dryer to set hair and provide extra shine. Remove the rollers. Your hair may be very big and in large curls at this point. Use hair serum to add shine to the hair and gently break up curls with your fingers. Finish with a soft-hold hair spray.

    Curled Side Ponytail

    • To achieve a curled side ponytail, curl your hair as suggested above. Once the hair is curled, create a deep side part, using a fine-tooth comb. Bring the curled hair to the opposite side of the part, gathering it at the nape of the neck. Secure your hair with a hair elastic. Now you have a curled ponytail at the side of the neck. Take a 3- to 4-inch section of hair and wrap it around the base of the ponytail (covering the elastic), securing it at the back with a bobby pin. Use a shine serum through the ponytail to add shine.

The curled side ponytail is a great look for the club because it keeps hair out of your face while still looking feminine.

    Sleek and Straight Ponytail

    • Another stylish hairstyle for clubbing is the sleek and straight ponytail. Blow dry damp hair straight using a paddle brush, pulling hair taut as you brush. Once your hair is dry, use a flat iron to straighten 2- to 3-inch sections. You want a clean, sleek finish to every section. When all of the hair is straight, add a few drops of shine serum. Use a brush to gather hair into a traditional ponytail at the round of the head. Brush hair to make sure there are no bumps. Secure the ponytail with an elastic.

Take a small section of hair from the bottom of the ponytail and use the flat iron to create a loose curl. This will make it easier to wind that section of hair around the base of the ponytail (to cover the elastic). Secure the section of hair with a few bobby pins, allowing the "tail" of the ponytail to cover the pins. Spray with hairspray to seal the look.
