Top 9 Symptoms of Irritable Bowel

There are many symptoms of irritable bowel.
Irritable bowel syndrome which is often called IBS is a very uncomfortable condition where you constantly have problems with your digestive system, more specifically the intestines.
There is no specific cause of IBS and there isn't a cure either.
Here are some of the many symptoms of irritable bowel: Diarrhea- We have all experienced diarrhea but the diarrhea that comes with irritable bowel is a bit different.
If you for instance get diarrhea most of the time you will have what is called IBS-D, sometimes with this condition you can even experience bowel movements that are difficult to control.
Constipation- Sometimes people with IBS often have regular stools, then diarrhea, then constipation, they all seem to come and go with no pattern at all.
However some others may only get constipation.
This is called IBS-C.
This is often accompanied by haemorroids because it is so difficult to go to the bathroom.
Gas- You will probably experience more gas if you have the diarrhea than if you have constipation, but it can be pretty painful.
You can take some Beano or Immodium to try to help but the best thing to do is to watch your diet and identify foods that cause you gas.
Cramping- The cramping will probably come from the diarrhea and the constipation, unfortunately it is a side effect of gas too.
Bloating- This can be a side effect of the gas as well.
Acid Reflux- Most people don't realize this is a symptom of IBS but it can be.
Taking tums might help, or laying on your left side so that your esophagus is elevated above your stomach shoud help as well.
Blood in stools- this is actually very common with many people who experience IBS.
But it is important to discuss this with your doctor so that you are sure it comes from the IBS, other things that are more serious could also cause blood in the stools, it is just advisable to play it safe with this symptom.
A couple of other symptoms of Irritable Bowel are headache and backache.
Although there are several symptoms of irritable bowel, it is nice to know that you have a lot of control over this condition with your activity level and your diet.
One of the most important things with IBS is to make sure you eat a lot of fiber, the fiber from vegetables is best, and you must also drink a lot of water.
This will allow your body to correctly digest the fiber.
Too little water will lead to constipation.
For most people though, it is very common to learn this condition is very manageable and the pain caused by the symptoms can be minimized with your own control, so it is all up to you.
