- 1). Verify that the Whirlpool dishwasher is completely plugged in to an operational power supply. Reset the circuit breaker or fuse if needed.
- 2). Close the dishwasher door tightly so that it latches into place. Press or select "Start" if the wash cycle was interrupted mid-cycle, as the dishwasher may not fill with water if the cycle was stopped and not restarted.
- 3). Check the water supply hose for possible obstructions. Tighten the connection between the hose and the dishwasher. Run the water at the sink closest to the dishwasher to verify that the water supply is active.
- 4). Stop the dishwasher and open the door. Pull out the bottom rack and look to see if there is an overfill protection float in the bottom of the tub. It looks like a small floating cone. If it is not moving freely, push down on it to release it.
- 5). Contact Whirlpool for assistance if the problem continues, as the issue may require professional repair.
