Vaser Liposuction can be done for minor touch-ups to major transformations. VASER stands for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance. It adds the benefit of ultrasound technology to the standard Liposuction Procedure. This revolutionary fat removal procedure offers a safe alternative to traditional liposuction. VASER Lipo provides smooth, predictable results with fast recovery and minimal downtime
It's one of the procedures where an individual can be fully conscious and awake throughout the entire liposuction. It's relatively painless.
With VASER Lipo, you can expect:
- Realistic curves and definition, even for hard-to-fix spots
- Easy removal of large quantities of fat
- Precise sculpting of delicate areas of the body
- Minimally invasive procedures that can be delivered in a comfortable, clinical setting
- Fast recovery times
- Smooth, tight results
When Is Vaser Liposuction a Good Option
Vaser liposuction, like most other forms of liposuction or other similar cosmetic procedures, isn't meant to treat someone who is morbidly obese or looking to drop 60 lbs.
Vaser liposuction is an especially good choice for spot treatment of areas that just won't lose fat even for healthy people who work out. Because of genetics some people very easily get double chins, or "muffin tops" around the waist. People can't control where fat tends to be stored, and sometimes the genetics are not very cooperative. When there is a situation like that where it's just a few pounds of fat in an area that just won't sculpt into shape, then vaser liposuction could be the best option.
3 steps to VASER:
Assessment:
The procedure involves a primary consultation to assess the indications (discussed below), counsel the patient, discuss pros and cons and then plan the areas for the procedure. Subsequently measurements for pressure garments are taken, and preoperative testing is performed. These are in the form of blood tests and other investigations. Once all these are in order, a preanesthetic check up is performed to discuss anesthesia related factors. Then the patient is dated for the surgery
The Procedure:
Vaser liposuction selectively targets the fat cells while preserving nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue. The fat cells are emulsified and then removed by suction with minimal disturbance of surrounding tissue yielding smooth results.
1. The fatty layer is infused with tumescent fluid.
2. The high frequency vibration of VASER Lipo ultrasonic probes causes the fat cells to break apart and emulsify into the infusion fluid.
3. Emulsified fat is easily removed via specially designed VentX Suction Cannulae or massage, left muscle and nerve tissue unimpaired.
4. During the healing process, your skin will retract to give you a smooth, natural-looking result.
Fat may be removed from under the chin, cheeks, jowls, neck, upper arms, breast, chest, abdomen, buttocks, hips, inner and outer thighs, knees, calves, and ankles. Fat is removed by inserting a small hollow tube called a cannula into one or more tiny incisions near the area to be suctioned. The incisions are usually less than a quarter of an inch and placed in natural skin folds, making them less visible.
Liposuction can reshape and refine the face and body by carefully removing local fat deposits. The result is an improvement in body contour and body proportion.
Vaser also allows for better sculpting in tougher and fibrous areas like back and male abdomen. High definition liposculpture with VASER is gaining popularity for creating six pack abdomen look. Vaser has been used in more than 100,000 procedures all over the world and has proven to be safe.
Post-Surgery Care and Rest
1.Pressure garments need to be worn for 6 weeks at least, or longer if swelling persists. Pressure garments need to be tightened 2-3 times in the following weeks of the procedure. we recommend tightening at the end of 1st week, and then around the 3rd week again
2.Patients are put on tablet antibiotics for 4 days and tablet pain killers for 2-5 days.
3.Patient has a bath the next day itself and is free to carry out normal household activities
4.Ultrasound therapy is recommended in the first week to reduced the muscle stiffness and spasms
5.Manual lymphatic drainage is recommended to reduce swelling faster in the first 3 weeks
6.Post VASER typical rest period varies from 3 days to 7 days depending on the areas that have been operated. For example, after a abdomen VASER most patients join office by the 4th day, however after a thigh and back VASER, it can take almost a week
