How to Remove Crayon Marks From Cellular Blinds

    • 1). Vacuum the blinds with the brush attachment, removing any dust or surface dirt that may have accumulated. Leaving dust on the blinds during cleaning may force the dust into the fabric and cause it to appear dirty.

    • 2). Dip a white, lint-free cloth in dry-cleaning solvent, barely moistening the cloth. Blot the solvent onto the crayon mark. Continue to blot until the solvent is absorbed by the blind and the fabric no longer appears wet.

    • 3). Moisten the cloth in the solvent again and blot the crayon mark. Continue to moisten and blot with solvent until the crayon stain is gone.

    • 4). Combine 1 tsp. of a non-bleach, non-alkaline mild detergent with 1 cup of lukewarm tap water. Dampen a second lint-free cloth in this solution and blot the blind again, rinsing away the last of the crayon mark and any remaining solvent.

    • 5). Rinse the detergent from the cloth with clear water. Wring out the excess moisture, then blot out any remaining detergent from the blind with the clear water.
