He is sudden;y in the middle of Greek mythology come to life when it all comes tumbling out of his textbooks from school. He is surrounded by monsters and all kinds of folklore and the movie is about his struggle to return everything back to normal again.

If you are a fan of fantasy movies then you are going to love this one. This does have overtones of the harry potter movies, most likely because it is from the same director. The feel of the movie is the same and to a certain amount has the same plot line of the harry potter movies.
