Will Actors Soon Bid On Licensing Their Likeness Rather Than Acting - Future Thoughts

Not long ago, I was talking to a lady who had changed careers but was a movie choreographer working with special effects.
Pretty fun stuff, and although in that field they use different terminology for everything you get the picture.
I noted that in the future the actors will not be needed because their likenesses will be used instead.
Even actors now deceased can star in major movies.
How so you ask? Well, their digital renderings can be used after their deaths, set into new scenes as if they were there, even acting with current actors and actresses.
Question might be do you give them an Oscar for best supporting role? Of course, if you do, who will pick up their award? A family member, a future relative, what if it is someone like John Wayne, his granddaughter? See that point.
Indeed, once we can do all this we hardly need to new actors either.
My acquaintance noted that Robert Downey Jr.
made a ton of money of his latest movie as Tony Stark in Iron Man III.
Interestingly enough, he did very little real acting, as most was done with a green screen behind him and the scenery was placed in later behind him, still, didn't it look so real? Well, this is merely a start.
For now an actor might be able to star in several movies per year, as they don't have to travel as much to be on-site.
In the future they may act in one or two movies but the rest will be done with digital renderings of themselves, and they merely get paid the use of their likeness.
Are they real or is it counterfeit? Well, the movies aren't real anyway and as long as you are entertained well, you are happy right? This might make the cost of producing movies less, which means higher profits for Movie Studios.
Faster productions, more movies, less acting, fewer on-site location shoots and that ought to cross over into higher shareholder's equity and nice quarterly revenues.
Eventually however, we won't need actors or actresses anymore, we just need those faces which are familiar or digital faces created to meet a stereotype or pleasant displacement from the movie viewers.
Good guys, bad guys, heroes and villains, all fakes for your movie enjoyment.
And best of all you either won't know, won't care, or when and if it comes to asking about it, don't dare.
Indeed, I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.
