Split

• 1). Lift the lid of the pill splitter. The splitter is the blue-green portion of the pill crusher. When lifted, you will see a small, silver blade running along the top of the lid and an indented area for pill placement.
  
  
• 2). Set the VitaMinder on a firm, flat surface.
  
  
• 3). Place one pill in the center of the pill splitter. Turn oblong shaped pills according to how you want to split them. The blade runs length-wise along the center of lid.
  
  
• 4). Close the lid of the pill splitter and press down firmly on the lid. You will hear a snap, as the pill is cut.
  
  
• 5). Lift the lid and remove the cut pill.
  
  

Crush

• 1). Grasp the top portion of the VitaMinder. Twist the top to the left until you are able to remove it from the body of the VitaMinder. When the top is remove you will see an empty compartment. The interior of the compartment will be the same blue-green color as the pill splitter.
  
  
• 2). Place one or two pills into the compartment.
  
  
• 3). Insert the corkscrew end of the top into the compartment.
  
  
• 4). Twist the top to the right. As the top moves into the compartment, you will be able to feel the pills being crushed.
  
  
• 5). Remove the top. Use caution, so that you do not spill any of the pill remnants.
  
  
• 6). Tip the VitaMinder to pour the contents out of the crushing chamber.
