Former Defensive Player of the Year and veteran safety Ed Reed is still a very solid defender when he is healthy, but injuries hampered his performance at times in 2009. He's still an impact player, often coming up with the key turnover when his team needs it most. So at the age of 31, he is still an integral part of the Baltimore Ravens defense, and it appears he still has something left in the tank.
Reed has been slowed, however, in training camp as he recovers from offseason hip surgery.
Reed finished the 2009 regular season with 50 tackles, three interceptions and three forced fumbles.
