- 1). Spread craft glue or hot glue around the perimeter of the opening at the top of the Christmas ball terrarium after plants have been added. Replace the cap and allow it to dry completely. Drying time depends on the type of glue used. Tie a ribbon around the neck of the Christmas ball and hang it from a plant hook. Gluing the ribbon to the ball provides added protection from falls or breaks.
- 2). Attach decorative chains to the predrilled holes on bubble terrariums. Cut them to the desired length with wire cutters. Add an S hook to an existing plant hook or install one above a window. Extend the chains above the terrarium and slip the end loops over the S hook. The number of chains needed depends on the style of the bubble terrarium.
- 3). Place the glass ball terrarium inside a plant hanger designed to hold a plant pot. These come in a variety of materials and styles from shells to macrame and are typically designed with a braided or knotted material to hold the pot with three or more attached cords for hanging. Extend the cords above the terrarium and loop the hook over a plant hook.
