What Are the Symptoms of Being Pregnant?

    • Sometimes when implantation of the fertilized embryo happens, there may be some slight bleeding or spotting. Some women may overlook this and think it is a short period, or that they overdid it physically.

    • One of the first symptoms for many women is that they miss a period. Women who are have regular cycles may notice this as being unusual, but women who are not regular may not think they are pregnant immediately.

    Physical Challenges

    • Many women experience morning sickness. Some simply feel ill, while others may have a difficult time keeping food down for part or most of the day. This can happen even before a period is missed, or it may not happen until well into the second month.

    Emotional Challenges

    • When you become pregnant your hormones change drastically. This can result in feeling moody, being more emotional and feeling slightly unstable.

    Going to the Restroom More Often

    • One of the most bothersome symptoms of pregnancy for many women, is having the need to empty the bladder more often.

    More Sleep

    • Pregnant women need more sleep. Many women find that they need a nap daily, or that they need to sleep an hour or two more at night.
