- 1). Check the battery pack if the screen stays blank when the power is on. The LED power indicator should show a green or red light if the battery has any charge. If there is no light, charge the system.
- 2). Clean the connectors in the game cartridge if the system seems to freeze up. There could be foreign material in the connectors. Try a can of compressed air just as you might use to clean a computer keyboard. Make sure the game is completely inserted into the appropriate game slot when you turn the DS on.
- 3). Adjust the volume control if there is no sound. The bar might have been accidentally pushed to the far left, muting the DS. If you are using headphones and there is no sound make sure the cord is fully inserted into the headphone jack on the system.
- 4). Move multiple DS systems to within 30 feet of each other if you are trying to play use online wireless game play. The signal may not be strong enough if the systems are too far apart. Also make sure that there are no obstructions between the systems and that they face each other.
- 5). Clean the touch screen if it doesn't seem to work with the stylus. Dampen a cloth with water and lightly wipe the screen. Take a second, dry cloth and rub over the touch screen to dry it.
