Station Square can be reached via several Port Authority bus routes, as well as the Monongahela Incline which connects Station Square to Mt. Washington, and the T (subway) which connects Station Square to downtown Pittsburgh and the South Hills.

Monday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Sunday 12:00 noon - 5:00 p.m.

Some attractions, such as the Chevrolet Amphitheater, Gateway Clipper Fleet, and Hard Rock Cafe have their own hours.

In January and February, Station Square operates under reduced winter hours, closing at 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Check the Web site for special Holiday Hours (Thanksgiving to New Years Eve). The Shops at Station Square are closed Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Stores:

Shopping is a bit of an afterthought at this restored former home of the P&LE Railroad. There are a few nice gift-type stores such as St. Brendan's Crossing, Hometowne Sports and New York, New York, but overall the Freight House Shops at Station Square are not really worth a drive on their own. Save them for window shopping on your way to lunch or dinner!

Over 25 restaurants, bars, and eateries make their home at Station Square, including Bar Louie, Buca di Beppo, Buckhead Saloon, Grand Concourse, Hard Rock Cafe, Joe's Crab Shack, Kiku Japanese Restaurant, Pittsburgh Rare (at the Sheraton), Red Star Tavern and The Melting Pot.

Most Station Square restaurants open at 11:00 a.m. daily, although The Melting Pot is only open for lunch on Saturday and Sunday. Breakfast is available at Pittsburgh Rare (in the Sheraton Hotel) and the Island Cafe (in Bessemer Court). The Grand Concourse opens for Sunday Brunch beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Entertainment & Nightlife:

Considered by many as the entertainment center of Pittsburgh, Station Square is home to many popular attractions including the Amphitheatre at Station Square, host to popular national and local musical entertainment and food and music festivals; the Pittsburgh Hard Rock Cafe at Bessemer Court; and multiple smaller entertainment venues including Hooters and Steelhouse Sports, Saloon & Eatery (sports bars), Bar Room Pittsburgh (night/dance club) and Saddle Ridge (western bar with line dancing lessons and a mechanical bull). The Funny Bone comedy club, long a staple at Station Square, relocated to Greentree in spring 2010.

Special Features:

Station Square is also home to the Gateway Clipper fleet of riverboats, Just Ducky Tours, the Sheraton Hotel, The Fountain at Bessemer Court, and a mile-long river walk with relics of Pittsburgh's industrial heritage, including a 25 ton ingot mold, the sternwheel of the Jason, a 1940 steam powered towboat, and a 10 ton Bessemer converter built in 1930.
