- The Caddo Nation Education Department based in Binger, Oklahoma, oversees several education programs for the Caddo people. In addition to adult education and job training and placement initiatives, the department oversees the Higher Education Program and administers scholarships to Caddo students pursuing a bachelor's or associates degree. Eligible applicants must be a member of the Caddo nation and maintain a 2.0 GPA. The scholarship is available to students for up to 10 terms and can be used at any degree-granting institution in the United States.
- Cultural and heritage foundations that promote the culture of Oklahoma can be a scholarship resource. For example, the Oklahoma Heritage Association awards several scholarships to high school students who demonstrate a passion and understanding of Oklahoma state history. The Nichols Scholarship is a $10,000 award as of 2011, given to a student who demonstrates a profound interest in and knowledge of Oklahoma history and also possesses a record of community involvement and leadership. The Oklahoma Hall of Fame Scholarship is a $5,000 award, as of 2011, given to a student who plans to attend a college or university in Oklahoma.
- Many colleges and universities in Oklahoma award financial incentives to in-state students. For example, the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University provide several Oklahoma resident scholarships to incoming freshmen. The eligibility requirements vary with each award and include academic achievement, community and leadership service and financial need. The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education Scholars is available to Oklahoma residents, based on the results of the National Merit competition. At the University of Oklahoma, the award is $34,000 plus a laptop allowance for the 2012 to 2013 academic year. At Oklahoma State University the scholarship amount is $43,500 as of 2011.
- Caddo Indian students can also avail themselves of the myriad scholarships available to all members of recognized Native American communities. For example, the Society for American Archaeology awards the SAA Native American Scholarship to help fund undergraduate and graduate degrees in archaeology. Eligible applicants must be Native Americans, Alaskans or Hawaiians or Indigenous Pacific Islanders. The American Indian Graduate Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, administers seven undergraduate and graduate scholarships and fellowships. These grants are awarded to Native American or Native Alaskan students.
