Just How Black is Barack?

Well who cares? It is "much ado about nothing".
The value of a man in this society is the same regardless of race or color just as long as that person is a responsible individual who carries his own weight and then some, pay taxes, obey the law, work hard, be a responsible, productive member of society.
I promise you when you run into a black man on the street his grandparents did not come to these shores on the Queen Mary or any other luxury liner.
His grandparents were uprooted, savaged, ravaged, eaten alive and spat out again until these blacks we see is just what is left of the whole of them.
But yet, how bleak this country would be without the likes of Michael Jordan, Cassius Clay.
Kareem Abdul Jabaar, Thurgood Marshall, Oprah Winfrey, Bill, Cosby, Colin Powell, Tupac Shaakur, George Washington Carver, Scott Joplin, Vivian Thomas, Malcolm X, Spike Lee, Whoopi Goldberg, Tiger woods, Leontyne Price, Jesse Jackson, Andrew Young, Reggie Jackson, Tina Turner, Rosa Parks, James Brown, Jackie Robinson, Frederick Douglas, Condoleeza Rice, Fats Domino, BB King, Martin Luther King, Rodney King, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, Toni Morrison, Maya Angelou, T Bone Hooker, Arthur Ashe, Clarence Paige, Clarence Thomas, Louis Armstrong and so on and so on and so on plus many a nameless good-black-folk'.
For many years the impoverished, black south, was unable to cope with the duties of running personal businesses or attain full participation in the society of this country because they have been engaged in a slow process to drag themselves out of the grip of slavery and of Jim Crowe.
Much progress has been made, not without sacrifice and bloodshed.
Greatly due to the opinions of men and women of color who returned from the various war fronts demanding equality and respect.
We as a society pretend to be or become color-blind but we are not.
It's okay to accept our differences, the contrast in beliefs and values in the sub sectors that constitute the whole of our land of immigrants enriches the tapestry of the fiber of American society.
But we must put our mouths where our money is.
I don't believe the world as a whole is comfortable anymore dealing with our government, elected officials and the representatives of private enterprise because they have transparent self-serving motives that don't resonate with the rest of the planet.
We need a big solution to a big problem, this is where the strength of Senator Obama lies, in his vision for a new America, break with the past, on with the new.
Much work needs to be done.
So here we are now, 231 years later, realizing the richness of the genetic pool of our melting pot.
Barack just said he will tear down the bowling alley of the White house if elected and build a basket ball court, so, let him do it, and lead us into a better America, Barack, whether you are or you are not, 'black enough".
