What Causes Vitiligo?

Vitiligo is a disease that appears due to the loss of melanin cells from the skin.
The disease affects 40 to 50 million people of the worldwide.
The symptoms of the disease includes appearance of white spots and patches on skin, graying of hair color, affected skin mucous membrane and loss of vision due to the affected retina of eyes.
Human skin acquires melanocytes cells in skin whose function is the production of melanin cells in skin.
The melanin cells are present in the skin in three different colors (white, black & brown).
Due to internal or external causes if the amount of melanin cells becomes less in skin the skin changes its natural coloration.
The major cause of the vitiligo is the depigmentation.
Depigmentation refers to the loss of melanin cells from the skin.
The human skin acquires special skin cells known as melanocytes whose function is the production of melanin cells in skin.
The melanin cells are present in three different colors (yellow, black & whitish) and mostly present in the colored skin people rather than the white people.
There are different causes of the disease includes: Heredity: Due to the heredity problem almost 10 to 15 percent people acquires vitiligo disease symptoms.
Due to the transfer of autosomel gene with irregular penetration the disease is appearing.
Dietary deficiency: Many times due to the deficiency of nutritious elements in skin that cells and tissues becomes dry and dull and they change their skin coloration.
Auto-immunity: Our body contains immune system that is consisting on T- cells.
The function of T-cells is the protection of body from environmental or generic germs and infections.
If T cells becomes so over-active and they start moving freely anywhere in the skin then the skin altar its natural coloration and acquires vitiligo white spots / patches.
Sun burn or sun exposure: Many times by facing excessive sun rays, the sun rays extracts all the moisturizer from the skin and leave skin dry which causes skin discoloration.
Usage of excessive anti biotic and vaccinations: It is also noticeable that by taking excessive amount of anti biotic and getting repeated number of vaccination skin melanin cells amount becomes less in skin and skin gets white spots/patches.
Stress: Psychological or emotional stresses are also the reason of the skin discoloration.
Usage of chemical topical applications: By using different types of topical applications for skin can causes serious problem.
In market there are number of skin bleaching creams are available which are manufacturing by different chemicals that are harmful for the skin layers.
Usage of such topical application can also leads vitiligo symptoms.
